Terms of Service

The rules for buying, selling, and using Twenty.

Last updated: May 20, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Twenty website, marketplace, APIs, dashboards, and related services (collectively, the "Service" or "Platform"), operated by Twenty ("Twenty," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, browsing listings, purchasing a product, submitting a listing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Introduction

Twenty is a curated marketplace for production-ready SaaS starter kits, boilerplates, authentication and billing modules, and related digital developer products ("Products" or "Kits"). We connect independent creators ("Creators," "Sellers") with buyers ("Buyers") who wish to purchase downloadable or repository-based code and documentation.

Twenty facilitates discovery, listing review, checkout, delivery, and account management. Except where we explicitly state otherwise, Twenty is an intermediary platform—not the author, licensor, or publisher of Creator Products. Your relationship for the substance of a Product is primarily with the Creator, subject to the license terms presented on the Product page and in the delivered materials.

2. Definitions

  • Account: a registered user profile on Twenty, which may have buyer, creator, and/or administrative capabilities.
  • Buyer: a user who purchases or receives access to a Product.
  • Creator / Seller: a user who lists, uploads, or sells Products on the Platform.
  • Listing: a Product page and associated metadata, files, media, pricing, and setup instructions submitted by a Creator.
  • Purchase: a completed transaction granting a Buyer access to a Product.
  • User Content: information, text, images, reviews, feedback, profile data, repositories, archives, and other materials you submit to the Service.
  • Verified Seller: a Creator badge indicating additional review or trust signals by Twenty; it is not a guarantee of future conduct or Product quality.

3. Eligibility & accounts

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old—or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction—and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3.2 Registration & accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information, including your email address and username. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your Account. Notify us promptly through Support if you suspect unauthorized access.

3.3 Account types

Accounts may operate as Buyers, Creators, or both. Creator features may require additional onboarding, GitHub verification, identity or reputation review, and compliance with listing standards. We may deny, limit, or revoke creator privileges at our discretion.

3.4 Email verification & security

We may require email verification before full account access. You may enable two-factor authentication (2FA), manage active sessions, and use password reset flows. You agree to use a strong password that meets our published requirements and not to share authentication factors with others.

3.5 OAuth sign-in

You may link third-party identity providers such as Google or GitHub. Linking an OAuth provider does not relieve you of responsibility for Account activity. Disconnecting OAuth may require an alternative sign-in method if you have not set a password.

4. The platform

4.1 Intermediary role

Twenty provides hosting for listings, checkout infrastructure, file delivery, dashboards, analytics, wishlists, reviews, and administrative moderation tools. We do not guarantee that any Product will meet your requirements, integrate with your stack, or remain available indefinitely.

4.2 Listing review

Creators submit Listings for review before publication. We may approve, reject, request changes, unpublish, feature, or remove Listings at any time for quality, security, legal, or policy reasons. Approval does not constitute an endorsement, warranty, or certification of fitness for a particular purpose.

4.3 Availability & maintenance

We strive for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, impose rate limits, or temporarily restrict features—including placing the site in maintenance mode—without prior notice when reasonably necessary.

4.4 Beta features

Some features may be labeled beta, experimental, or preview. They are provided as-is and may change or be withdrawn without notice.

5. Creator obligations

5.1 Listing standards

By submitting a Listing, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have all rights necessary to license the Product and any included assets (code, fonts, images, trademarks, documentation).
  • The Product description, screenshots, demo links, tech stack tags, and pricing are accurate and not misleading.
  • You provide complete setup instructions required for a reasonably skilled developer to deploy or evaluate the Product.
  • The Product does not contain malware, undisclosed backdoors, credential harvesters, or intentionally harmful code.
  • You comply with applicable export, sanctions, and intellectual-property laws.

5.2 Deliverables

Creators must supply at least one valid delivery mechanism offered on the Listing—such as a downloadable archive (ZIP) and/or repository access—at the time of purchase. You are responsible for keeping delivery links and archives functional for Buyers who have already purchased, except where removal is required by law or Platform policy.

5.3 Security scanning

Uploaded archives may be scanned automatically for known threats or suspicious patterns. We may block, quarantine, or reject uploads that fail review. Scanning is a risk-reduction measure, not a guarantee that files are error-free or secure.

5.4 Support obligations

Unless otherwise stated on the Listing, Creators are responsible for responding to reasonable Buyer questions about installation and use of their Product. Twenty may route support inquiries but is not obligated to provide technical support for third-party code.

5.5 Pricing & taxes

You set List prices in accordance with Platform rules. You are responsible for determining and fulfilling any tax obligations applicable to your earnings, subject to how payments are processed through our payment partner (see Section 7).

5.6 Verified Seller badge

A Verified Seller designation reflects internal criteria such as account standing, review history, or manual admin approval. It may be granted or revoked at any time and does not transfer any ownership rights or create agency between Twenty and the Creator.

6. Buyers & licenses

6.1 Purchases & access

When you complete checkout, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to access and use the purchased Product as described on the Listing and in any included LICENSE file. Unless the Creator explicitly grants broader rights, Purchases are for your own projects and may not be redistributed, resold, or sublicensed as a standalone template marketplace product.

6.2 Delivery

After payment confirmation, Products typically unlock in your dashboard library for download or repository access. You are responsible for downloading and securing copies. We are not obligated to provide indefinite re-download hosting if a Creator removes a Listing, except where required by law or an applicable refund remedy.

6.3 Evaluation responsibility

Software kits may depend on third-party services, APIs, databases, and frameworks that change over time. You are responsible for evaluating compatibility, security, licensing of dependencies, and compliance with laws applicable to your use case before deploying to production.

6.4 Wishlist & notifications

Wishlist and relist-notification features are provided for convenience. We do not guarantee notification delivery timing or that a Product will become available again.

7. Payments & billing

7.1 Payment processor

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited and its affiliates ("Paddle"), which act as the Merchant of Record for transactions on the Platform unless we notify you otherwise. Paddle handles checkout, payment collection, applicable sales tax or VAT where required, invoicing, and certain refund workflows. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms and privacy notices presented at checkout.

7.2 Pricing & currency

Prices are displayed on Listings in the currency configured for checkout. Taxes and fees may be added at checkout as determined by Paddle based on your location and applicable law.

7.3 Failed or reversed payments

If a payment fails, is reversed, or is subject to a chargeback, we may revoke Product access, suspend your Account, and pursue collection where permitted by law.

7.4 Creator payouts

Creator payout schedules, revenue shares, and tax documentation may be governed by separate creator agreements or Platform policies as they are introduced. Until otherwise stated, Twenty may retain amounts necessary to cover refunds, chargebacks, fees, and violations.

8. Refunds & chargebacks

8.1 Digital goods

Because Products are digital goods delivered immediately upon purchase, all sales are generally final. Refunds may be granted at our or Paddle's discretion in cases such as duplicate charges, failure to deliver access, materially misdescribed Products, or technical defects that cannot be remedied within a reasonable time.

8.2 How to request a refund

Contact Support with your order details, Account email, Product name, and a clear explanation of the issue. Include screenshots or error logs where relevant. We typically respond within several business days.

8.3 Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback without first attempting resolution may result in Account suspension and loss of access to purchased Products. We may share transaction and delivery records with Paddle and payment networks to contest improper chargebacks.

8.4 EU/UK withdrawal rights

If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from certain distance contracts within 14 days. For digital content delivered immediately with your express consent and acknowledgment that you lose the withdrawal right, that right may not apply. Applicable checkout disclosures and Paddle policies control where they conflict with this summary.

9. Reviews, feedback & moderation

9.1 Product reviews

Verified Buyers may submit ratings and reviews for Products they purchased. Reviews must be honest, relevant, and based on actual experience. We may moderate, hide, or remove reviews that are spam, abusive, disclose private information, or appear fraudulent.

9.2 Listing submission

Creators who submit products for marketplace review must also accept our Seller Listing Submission Terms, which cover intellectual property, buyer licenses, GitHub access, and review snapshots.

9.3 Platform feedback

Support messages, feedback widgets, and survey responses may be used to improve the Service. Do not include secrets, passwords, or sensitive personal data in feedback fields.

9.4 Enforcement

We may warn, restrict, suspend, or permanently ban Accounts that violate these Terms, our policies, or applicable law. Enforcement decisions are made in our reasonable discretion to protect users and the Platform.

10. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
  • Upload or distribute malware, exploits, or code intended to compromise systems.
  • Infringe copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, or privacy rights.
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform at scale without written permission.
  • Circumvent access controls, rate limits, security reviews, or payment requirements.
  • Create multiple Accounts to evade bans, abuse promotions, or manipulate reviews.
  • Impersonate Twenty, another user, or a Creator.
  • Resell Platform access, Purchases, or download links without authorization.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users or our staff.
  • Use the Service to distribute spam, phishing, or unsolicited commercial messages.
  • Reverse engineer the Service except where permitted by mandatory law.

11. Intellectual property

11.1 Twenty property

The Twenty name, logo, website design, documentation, and Platform software are owned by Twenty or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks except as necessary to refer to the Service.

11.2 Creator Products

Creators retain ownership of their Products. Buyers receive only the license scope defined by the Creator. If no license is specified, the default personal-use license in Section 6.1 applies.

11.3 User Content license to Twenty

You grant Twenty a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, and distribute your User Content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Service—including showing Listing thumbnails, review excerpts, and creator profile information. You represent that you have the rights to grant this license.

11.4 DMCA & takedowns

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, contact us through Support with a detailed notice including identification of the work, the infringing material, your contact information, and a statement of good-faith belief. We may remove or disable access to disputed content and notify the uploader.

12. Security & acceptable use

We implement technical and organizational measures such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, http-only session cookies, optional two-factor authentication, security event logging, upload scanning, and IP or country blocklists for abuse prevention. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Service at your own risk and should maintain independent backups and security practices for anything you deploy using purchased Products.

You must promptly report suspected vulnerabilities through Support and not exploit them.

13. Third-party services & links

The Service integrates with or links to third parties—including Paddle, OAuth providers (Google, GitHub), cloud hosting, object storage, email delivery, and Creator demo sites. We are not responsible for third-party terms, privacy practices, outages, or content. Your use of those services is at your own risk and subject to their policies.

14. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE AND ALL PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TWENTY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT PRODUCTS WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR ENVIRONMENT, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES; IN THOSE CASES, THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TWENTY AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO TWENTY FOR THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR FRAUD OR FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Twenty and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your Products, your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your misuse of the Service. Creators additionally indemnify Twenty for claims that their Products infringe third-party rights or cause harm to Buyers.

17. Suspension & termination

17.1 By you

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request Account deletion through Support, subject to retention obligations described in our Privacy Policy.

17.2 By Twenty

We may suspend or terminate your Account immediately if you violate these Terms, pose a security risk, fail to pay amounts owed, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, licenses to access the Platform end; rights to Products already purchased survive only as stated in the applicable Creator license.

18. Disputes & governing law

18.1 Informal resolution

Before filing a formal claim, contact us through Support and allow at least 30 days to attempt informal resolution.

18.2 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Twenty's operating entity, excluding conflict-of-law rules that would apply another jurisdiction's laws. If you are a consumer, mandatory protections of your country of residence may still apply.

18.3 Venue

Except where prohibited, exclusive jurisdiction for disputes that are not subject to consumer mandatory forums lies in the courts of Twenty's principal place of business. Nothing prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any competent court.

18.4 Class action waiver

To the extent permitted by law, disputes must be brought on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective, or representative action.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the revised Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email or in-product notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
